Science, Anthropology and Archaeology in The Urantia Book
Part 3. Who Wrote the Urantia Papers?

by Ken Glasziou
Methodology for Determining Authorship
Was Dr Sadler an author?
Could a single human mind be the source of the Papers?

The author concludes that we do not have a sensible, rational proposal about human authorship of the Papers. But any conclusion claiming other-than-human authorship is unprovable. As the Papers themselves tell us—our personal decision must be an act of faith. Does the spiritual content of the Urantia Papers makes them self-authenticating?

Computer Analyses of Dates in The Urantia Book

by Matt Neibaur, M.D.
Scientific Symposium I    1988

In part four of the book, The Life and Teachings of Jesus, there are numerous references to dates. Dates and weekdays are listed unequivocally. Is there any way to check on these dates? Was April 14, A.D. 2, really a Friday as stated? Using information obtained from the book, Astronomical Formulae for Calculators by Jean Meeus, a program was written to calculate dates and weekdays.

Christ Names in the Urantia Papers

By Ernest Moyer

The Urantia Papers uses six words or phrases for the personality we knew as Jesus. These are: Jesus Christ, Christ Jesus, Christ, Christ Michael, Jesus, and Michael.
Careful study of these words and phrases demonstrates clearly that no human being could have created or edited the Urantia Papers.

Urantia Book Etymology and Human Languages:
Similation Over Inspiration
by Jon Greer. Courtesy of the Brotherhood of Man Library

Like its cosmology, the Urantia Book's etymology of proper names and terminologies is not inspired, and early accommodation of this truth may help forestall disillusionment from a linguistic inquiry of its pages.

Text Changes in the Urantia Papers

Ernest P. Moyer.

In the author’s opinion, this analysis shows nothing in the changes which would indicate that the text was produced by human mortals. The small number of errors and the manner in which they were handled, shows an attempt to maintain integrity to an original document. The changes do not show arbitrary alterations guided by the wishes of some human author.
